1. Will 'Dubai Duty free' be open when I arrive/depart? What is there?
Yes, Dubai Duty free is open 24 hours. The 'main' duty free area is only accessible when departing from Dubai, although there is a smaller section available on arrival next to the 'baggage claim' area. Don't forget, 'Duty free' items are also available on all Emirates flights. 2. If I transit at Dubai, am I able to leave the airport?
This depends on the nationality stated in your passport and the amount of time that you are in transit. Most nationalities require visas to enter into Dubai, and regulations frequently change. If you do intend to leave the airport while in transit, please check your visa requirements with the local embassy before you start your journey.

3. Do Emirates provide a free hotel if my flight has a long connection time in Dubai?
Emirates may provide a complimentary overnight hotel on flights to Auckland, Brisbane, Christchurch or Sydney where your connection time in Dubai is over 8 hours, depending on the booking class on your ticket. Confirmation will be provided by Think Emirates along with your e-ticket information.
