Please note that Emirates Online Check-in is not available for travel on the flights Dubai-New York-Dubai and if you are connecting from a previous sector flown with another airline.

4. Can I check-in other passengers who are travelling with me?

Yes. Online check-in is available for up to nine passengers who are travelling together in the same booking.

5. I am travelling with an infant. Can I still check-in online?

Yes. Online check-in is possible for the accompanying adult passenger. If a bassinet seat was pre-assigned to the passenger then this will be checked-in for, otherwise these seats can be selected provided availability exists.

6. Can Children, Young Passengers travelling alone and Unaccompanied Minors check-in online?

No, unfortunately passengers under the age of 16 travelling without an adult must proceed to the airport as normal for check-in at the Emirates desk.

7. What do I need to check-in online?

- The family/last name of any passenger contained within the booking
- Your Booking Reference/PNR (click here for information on locating your Booking Reference/PNR)
- OR Your Skywards number if you provided this when making your booking.

8. How do I check-in online?

Simply enter the surname of the lead passenger and your Booking Reference/PNR to display the relevant flight details. Alternatively, enter your Skywards number (if you provided this when making your booking) and select which flight you'd like to check-in for.

Next, just select the passengers you'd like to check-in and you're done.

You now have the option of changing seats, adding any missing Skywards numbers, and checking any special requests you may have made at the time of booking.

Once you've completed the process, you'll be issued with an online check-in receipt for each passenger. Please print your receipt(s) and take them along to the airport allowing sufficient time to complete the remaining formalities.

9. What if I don't have a printer?

You will be checked-in regardless. Simply go to the airport and present your passport and ticket at the designated online check-in desk. Advise that you checked-in online but don't have your receipt.

10. What about return/onward flights?

The online check-in system will allow you to check-in for all eligible flights departing within the next 36 hours from the time of online check-in. If your return/onward flight departs more than 36 hours after your outbound flight, you will need to repeat the online check-in process closer to the scheduled departure time.

Please note that if your return/onward flight departs (outside of the initial 36 hours from your point of departure) from an airport where online check-in is not currently offered, you will need to check-in at the Emirates desk at the airport as usual.

11. I'm travelling to a country that requires Advanced Passenger Information (API). Can I still check in online?

Some countries require Emirates to provide the immigration authority with passenger passport information before departure. If you are travelling to one of these countries, you will need to check that the relevant passport information for you and anyone travelling with you has been completed. If any passport information is missing or incorrect, you can add or change it via the online check-in system.

Please note that acceptance for travel on Emirates is subject to approval by the immigration authorities of the destination country.

12. What happens if I experience a problem while checking in online?

If you experience any technical problems or for some reason can't complete the online check-in process, please proceed to the airport and check-in at the Emirates desk. Please be sure to allow sufficient time to complete the usual check-in procedures at the airport.

13. When do I need to arrive at the airport?

You may arrive at the airport up until 90 minutes before your flight is due to depart if you are checking-in baggage or 60 minutes without. Arrival after this time may result in you being unable to travel on the flight.

14. What should I do when I arrive at the airport?

Proceed either to the designated online check-in desk or normal Emirates desk to exchange your online check-in receipt for your boarding pass.

15. What about my luggage?

Simply drop your baggage off at the online check-in desk at the time you receive your boarding pass. You may arrive at the airport up until 90 minutes before your flight is due to depart.
